There will be no conceptual sketch, or original traditional ‘free hand’ work of art scanned in and manipulated with Photoshop, rather it ALL must be created originally IN the digital environment. If I have to ’sketch’ I will need to use my Wacom tablet. The one exception that might need some flexibility is if I want to use a digital photograph of a real item (house, car, person, plant, etc.) I foresee myself maybe incorporating collage elements with digital photographs of real world things in some of my work. (This IS a very big unknown for me, and I don’t know what to expect. I foresee some long hours of creating work and not getting much visual progress…and yet I think that this last section will be very educational, and I will be forcing myself to learn a lot. I anticipate that this area is where I will need the most feedback and advise on what you would recommend and suggest for certain effects that I’m attempting to achieve.
